CHAPTER 1

~ B I R T H ~

 

The fighting was getting more and more intense as the battle worn on, many had fallen on both sides. Hatred for those who are different is the same wherever you go, and the planet of Kuetotha is no exception.

It all started when the natives of the planet Kuetotha where having a gathering of the lords of the 36 territories. Their soldiers lacked the power and strength needed to defend against the Monieans. They discussed what must be done to solve this dilemma. Then the Lord Necri, leader of the 13^th territory, spoke up. He told them that he had heard of a scientist who was said to be very advanced in DNA, and that the scientist had been working on a project that he thought might solve the problem. The scientist was sent for and early the next day or cycle as they called it, and the scientist named Ancial gave a presentation on his idea.

Ancial said the project he was working on could potentially make a creature that looked a lot like them except they would be several times stronger because he would be talking 8 parts of their own DNA and 3 of the Luthien, a creature much like the wolf of Earth, but much bigger and of course stronger. He said the tests he had been doing seem to be very promising but he didn’t have the funds he needed to complete it and so if they, the lords, saw any future to this, he would like to ask them for their help him in furthering his research.

The lords thanked him for the presentation and said they would let him know their decision after discussing further among themselves. After the scientist had left they spent the rest of the cycle saying their views on the subject, and then they took a vote. The next morning Ancial was bought to the Hall of the Lords, there he was told they had come to the conclusion that his idea was believed, by all of the lords, to be perhaps their solution to the problem, and that they would sponsor him with anything he may need. He was given a new laboratory, and he began immediately.

About a month later at the next meeting of the lords, Ancial gave them a full report of his work. He told them he had found the formula that he believed was complete and ready for the first experiment. The next day he put the DNA serum into a large tube-like container that acted as DNA conversion mechanism which would separate the DNA into 15 organisms per serum. These organisms started out as a single celled but within a few moments they began to multiply into the structure of an undeveloped creature which Ancial called Lectri Lore. He put them in a liquid mixture inside a small container and numbered them in the order that they separated. Ancial started to notice the one he had number 15 was slightly larger then the rest and was seeming to develop faster then the rest, but since it was so little he didn’t worry about it to much; he still kept an eye on it though.

As the days and weeks passed and 15 continued to be developed at a quicker pace, Ancial decide to take a look at the cellular structure of it. When he did analyze it, he realized there was .385 more DNA then the rest in that group. When he check the other 9 group, that he had done with the same formula as the first serum, he saw it was always the 15^th organism. He went over the formula again and sure enough he had made a slight miscalculation causing there to be left over DNA and since there wasn't enough of a cell to make its own it just latched onto the last remained DNA, becoming a part of it. Instead of just one whole organism's growth it was that plus part of a cell, hence the quicker development, but 15 was only one that was noticeably larger, so instead of wasting all of them, Ancial only took 15 and stored it away in a container with a liquid that would prevent its growth, but still keeping it alive.

The Lectri Lore species continued to grow, and after Ancial made the correction in the formula there were no organisms with extra DNA. From the time they could walk their training as warriors had begun. Ancial found that they came as male or female and that they could reproduce as just the Kuetothan natives could. This meant that they were a complete race, since they wouldn't have to rely on the natives for the survival of their species.
